Do you have any references that I can follow up?

Yes – I can provide all references from the previous exterior or interior projects. Also, any work progress or what I did is easily available on Mi Decor Instagram page and Mi Decor YouTube channel for clients when I show time-lapses, video on real projects. Some can be easily found on the testimonials page.

Do you provide quotes for insurance work?

Yes – Mi Decor have quite big experience with work on water & fire damage project and also specialist rotten wood repair, drywall, lava plaster repair, and masonry restoration.

I notice you are based in Putney but I’m further afield, will you come out to me?

We try to cover the Southwest London area and down to Surrey – I am happy to travel if the project is the right fit for me as my service meet the expectation of the clients.

How much do you charge?

All work is based on estimated price – price can vary depending on size, scale, finish, timing and many various elements – all price is personally tailored to the client expectation, budget and charged accordingly – any changes of work scope, additional repair or work made are discussed before with clients, if approved they are executed and charged accordingly.

Do you clean up after the work is finished?

Yes – Mi Decor cleaning workspace regularly during work, by the end of the day and all tools, materials are put in designated space – nicely pack, protected, and made safe for the household. Every project when finished is fully cleaned, hoovered, some furniture that was moved by Mi Decor will be put back on place.

How many colour choices will I have?

Colours choice is tailor-made with the individual client as a finish, type of paint. Colours, finishes, and product used are discussed – professional expertise and colour consultation with paint charts is free of charge with approved projects.

How long will it take to paint my house?

House or room painting depends on size, agreed finish and work specification. Mi Decor project work is very efficient, with the best materials, product, dustless sanding systems, and spray machines in places to make work done to the best standard in the most effective way.

Are you insured?

Yes – I am fully insured up to £5m with the possibility of extending to a bigger amount – a copy of the agreement is available on request with approved project.

How do I get an estimate?

Any work enquires can be made my website form, google messenger, email, call or WhatsApp – all work requested is vetted by the phone call – the sample questions asked are: where the client is based, when they would like to do the work, timing, what are their plans and expectation, what theoretical budget they have – after approval from both sides and information exchange is positive, the site visit is arranged and withing 5 -7 days or earlier. Full estimation proposal is emailed to the client with all work scope details.

Do your quotes include materials?

Mi Decor try to include all materials and paint product in the estimation – all materials and products are tested and used over years to do work to the best possible standard and the most efficient way- as drying time, recoating and any datasheet is kept with manufacture information to make work long-lasting.

Is there anything I need to do before painting or decorating starts?

All approved projects with Mi Decor client receive full details with all follow ups, Mi Decor work procedure, and advice/instruction. Follow-up will continue within the week before work starts to make sure client is happy with starting date, colours and paint is confirmed and it will be delivered to the client also all materials and protection are fully equipped and ready for the start date. We work and follow up with systems in each individual task and projects.

Do we need to remove the carpets?

The carpet will not be removed if it doesn’t need to be replaced – all carpets and floor will be fully protected by the best and fully tested products what Mi Decor use in his projects – from Low tack masking tape, antistatic film to recycle and reusable plastic and paper floor protectors – everything is tailor-made to meet needs or requirements.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the bank transfer method due to COVID contactless procedure – before COVID 19 card payment and cash was available – this option is still possible depending on the government’s guideline and client feel.

We work all week, can you do the decorating at the weekend?

If a project with Mi Decor is accepted and special requirements are approved as a weekend work, night work or when clients are on Holiday – Mi Decor will do every work as agreed to meet client expectation.

Can I supply my own paint/wallpaper?

If the client wants to supply all topcoat paint and wallpaper Mi Decor will try his best to navigate and help to choose the best possible product, exact dimension of wallpaper, rolls, adhesive, how many litres paint is required, etc to make the project going smoothly and to deliver client’s expectation.

How often should I paint the exterior of my house?

It all depends on how good previous work was done, climate and weather – this change can vary and determine this process – it is a very complicated question to answer without knowing all of the aspects of exterior projects. Consultation is available on request.

What type of paint do you use?

Mi Decor is well-advanced Master Decorator who works with many painting coatings – form DIY, trade, design to specialist paints from the UK, EU, and the USA – paint is chosen and recommended for each project to meet client expectation, to last and have the best specification for a designated area. At the moment we are fully water base system with an oil base still available on request.

Can you give me a quote without a physical viewing?

Yes- the online quote is fully available and the project can be estimated from pictures, drawing, work spec, by video call, zooms call without a physical site visit – If the project is well advanced – specialist wallpaper, finishes, or custom finishes are required – site visit is essential to make work specific accurate.
