I truly cannot recommend Mike enough. We haven't lived in the area for a long time so are still establishing our list of trusted local tradespeople, which can be difficult. Mike has been my go to decorator for many years. He is extremely professional and his work is always of a very high standard. He is very knowledgeable and thoroughly reliable. Mike has redecorated various parts inside and outside my house over the past years. Given the quality of his work, I turned back to him this year for a big Hallway and bedroom painting job. He is incredibly meticulous - will go the extra mile, protects artwork and floors, and leaves the place looking spotless. The quality of his work also means the walls and woodworks are flawless and last for years. I can obly recommend Mike - he is one of a kind.

Mike redecorated our staircases into the first floor and loft, as well as walls and ceilings. He also painted our front door including frames. He worked in our home while we were away and sent us weekly reports. Cracks in the plaster were meticulously repaired and the surfaces were sanded and prepared before painting. We specifically asked if he could make sure the treads were safe underfoot so we won’t need to fit a carpet runner and the final result is just perfect!

As a second job in our home, Mike painted the cabin in our garden and refurbished our wooden side gate. He researched the best products to offer wood protection and best finish and then mixed the paints in our chosen RAL colours. The finished work is excellent and we are confident it will last for years.

Mike first worked for us 5 years ago and we’ve employed him for all our decorating and painting jobs ever since. His attention to detail and care a second to none. He gives great advice and always finds perfect solutions for any problem area. He recently reconditioned and painted an outside water feature with speciality paint which now looks like new. Mike also hid a cable in a wall that had to go behind a cornice. The wall now looks better than before - no sign of major work having been done. All colours blended perfectly, cornice, skirting boards and wall like new. He painted our staircase in preparation for new runners and carpets and replaced a few floorboards in the process. THE ULTIMATE PROFESSIONAL.
If you want a job done right and done right the first time then Mike is your Man. After seeking a number of quotations for painting our ground floor we chose Mike as he was responsive, friendly and knowledgeable and could fit us in before Christmas and at a fair price. He was upfront and clear about timings and the timeline stayed true till the end. The price as well stayed true to the end though prices were rising before Christmas and he chose to bear the increase and commit to the quotation. He even made a return visit before work started to help us finalize our paint choices. Mike also stepped in after our coving guy canceled at the last minute and did the coving (polystyrene) around the ground floor. The coving and wallpaper work he did was at the highest standards there could possibly be. He worked tirelessly and efficiently for two weeks and our kitchen, dining, living room and hallway are now transformed. He also stayed in touch with us throughout and was easily contactable. He took take great care of the home, had utmost respect to us the customer and nothing was too much to ask. He also takes real pride in his work, keeping the place meticulously tidy throughout the job. He even gave us a thank you gift at the end which was such a kind gesture when we thought we are the ones who need to express our gratitude. Thank you, Mike!

Mike did a beautiful job of painting our flat. His preparations were meticulous and the final product shows his attention to detail. He carefully covered all our furniture and shelves, moved in an air purifier to remove paint fumes and dust, repaired and smoothed every tiny imperfection in walls and woodwork, and built up layers of primer and undercoat to ensure a solid base for the final colours. He sourced the best paints for each area and the quality of his materials shows. Our flat has never looked so good. Mike is an excellent painter and a pleasure to have around. Once again Mike has done an amazing job, He has decorated almost the whole flat now and I would not consider asking anyone else to do the work. He is so reliable and honest I leave him to do his work while I am away. I would always recommend him.

A couple of years ago, Mike painted the exterior of our house and I wrote glowing reviews, including him being the best craftsman, of any trade, that we have ever employed. Now, he has just completed 4 rooms of interior decoration for us, and our regard for Mike has not changed, if anything is even higher. The fact that we allowed the long-ago booked interior decorating to go ahead, given these COVID times, is testament to our trust in Mike. He is meticulous in all things, including protecting our health and safety. Mike did hall, toilet, dinning and sitting rooms, all surfaces and built-in cupboards, including some significant wall repair and replastering. He ensured that dust and dirt was kept to a minimum, using some sophisticated air filtration equipment and careful protection of furniture and shelving units (meaning that large numbers of books, vinyl records, CD, etc did not need to me moved). His preparation work is very thorough (I lost track of how many coats of sealer, primer, undercoat, etc were applied), and his top-coat applications are highly skilled. The materials Mike uses are knowledgably and carefully selected, and of the highest quality. The end results are excellent, in all respects. I wholeheartedly recommend his services.

We booked Mike to make good our large rented office spaces and adjoining kitchen, vacated due to Covid / Lockdown. These rooms had suffered considerable damp damage from assorted leaks over the years & were in a sorry state. In spite of all the damage Mike was unfazed. He's done outstanding work for us on previous occasions and I had complete confidence in him. I felt hugely relieved when he agreed to undertake this latest work. Amongst other problems there were numerous cracks in the ceilings which he needed to address, and damp patches in plasterwork. He completely replaced a water damaged ceiling, fitting trap doors in it to enable easy access to pipework above. Lifting carpet-tiles in the kitchen he discovered the oak flooring beneath was black and rotten in places due to long exposure to damp. This had not been known ahead of time. He calmly undertook to replace the old damaged floor, installing a new floor and skirting, making the space fresh and bright. I wanted both offices plus the kitchen painted white. Mike achieved the most amazing result in spite of all the damp which he had needed to treat, and damp cool foggy days were unconducive to drying times. It was a mammoth task but both he & his work were outstanding. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Cheerful. Positive. Punctual. Trustworthy. Hard Working. Exceptional. I would never use anyone else!

He is incredibly knowledgeable about how to ensure the walls are properly prepared before applying the right paint.
