Mi Decor on Exterior

In most cases and work taken over by Mi Decor, we communicate and arrange with the client all details and dates. The date and time to start work are prearranged and booked in advance, they are flexible depending on the client’s availability and weather. I always ask to allow us to have small interior space for equipment 1 to 2 square meters, easy access to the property in order to open, close windows or doors if we work on them, easy access to run water and Powerpoint. We keep all space immaculately clean and we will protect everything if it is needed. Additional questions are if we can keep ladder in the garden – ladder will be locked up overnight. Next secure parking space – permit or visitor parking is essential. On the 1st day of work, we explain the plan of action, confirm colors, sheen level and go through by all site details regarding my work and client’s place. Every day by the end of work all equipment will be packed nicely, the house will be closed/locked with ladders safely put back in designated space. Each day we communicate with the client about work progress and completion by text message or WhatsApp.

Being an exterior specialist at this stage, all necessary fillers, epoxy resin, tools, and primers/undercoat are already applied – we have all of those materials in stock to make sure work is carried out in the most efficient way and up to standard – also against weather 🙂 the First couple of days of work is what I enjoy the most – preparation – opening cracks, scraping flaking paint and sanding. On the Exterior there is never enough of those but this is very important to achieve a great finish. When all preparation and sanding are done the painting process begins in the form of primers, undercoats, and topcoats applied by brush, roller, or spray. At times we are against the weather – the weather should meet all product data-sheet specifications to be applied correctly for product purpose. Each product has a different data sheet with different details of moisture application, drying, and recoating. It is as important as all preparation done so far. When topcoats are applied and dry – this part is the most rewarding as all hard work done so far is making exterior beautiful and lasting. Next, we will clean all workplaces where we were, then clean glass if required, pack all equipment, and move to another project.
