Dustless system – myth or essential

Dustless or not – this is a question to ask – do you want to live longer or not..?
I am a massive fan of dust-free sanding – in general, massive fan of sanding everything… I like sanding by hand because in the past this was the only known method – the method which teaches a character. The new generation of Master Painters is fully equipped with the newest and most efficient dust extractor and power sanders. Dust extractor not only makes life easier but also helps decorators to be more healthy, do work quicker and better, it allows to restore details. Dust extractors are now in smaller shapes, some with wireless control, some even battery powered. Sanders are so advanced these days that it is hard to cope – orbital, palm, delta with the option to polish finish or rough surface sanding. Sanders came recently with battery power systems but mainly due to price tag they are power cord in my arsenal. To make sanding life even more interesting we have paper sanding discs and mesh discs. Paper discs are standard but came with various options and specifications – for some heavy work for me they are essential. Mesh discs have a wow factor, not only they work as good as paper but due to mesh extraction of dust is much better. All of this new dustless equipment allows Pro Painters to have less dust, it also helps keep the workplace in the best order and deliver bespoke finish. It allows the client to enjoy the work process, avoiding dust to go everywhere and have fewer stress when all painting work is done and the rest of the house does not need major dust cleaning.
